Recommendations for ELN and Data Management

Hello everyone,

I am particularly interested in the issue of data management during experimentation. Are there any electronic lab notebooks you would recommend that not only support structured data storage during experiments but also allow integration with machine learning algorithms for on-the-fly or post-experiment analysis?

Additionally, I would really value the ability to share selected parts of the ELN alongside a publication—for example, choosing specific datasets or analysis workflows to include as supplementary or open data.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions, experiences, or recommendations you might have on this topic.

I think you’re going to want something as open source as possible. Either that, or with easy import/export options. I’d be surprised if any existing ELNs support integration of ML. We’ve set up eLabFTW and are reasonably happy with it.
